who lives near Edmonton.

Wow, where did the time go? For the last 6 nights, I've been camping
in the driveway of a friend north-west of Edmonton, who owns a cattle
ranch. It's beautiful, rolling country with lots of peace and quiet
— his nearest neighbour is a half mile away. The sunsets are
rather good, too.

My parcel from Ontario has finally arrived in Magrath, after
2.5 weeks! Surely this is a new record of slowness from Canada Post.
I'm heading back south to pick it up, so I can finish my 2009 income
taxes. The campground stops along the way are the same ones that
I stayed at when I headed north, so it's a rather boring part of my
trip.

I was only planning to stay in Fort MacLeod for one night, but the
May long weekend was approaching, and most of the campgrounds in the
area were full. After spending the weekend here, plus an extra day
or two to drive into Lethbridge for an oil change, it was best to
stay here for a full week, and get a discounted rate. After leaving
this peaceful RV park out in the country, I started heading east, but
ended up staying an extra day in Bow Island due to a sudden snow storm.
